Phone (518) 895-8140 SKYDIVE! SAFETY DAY 2009 Another Safety Day in Duanesburg! Duanesburg Skydiving club in held its Safety Day on March 14th aligning with the USPA National Safety day. We shook off the slumber of a long, cold winter that has gripped the Northeast for so many months and launched into refreshers on everything from gearing up to landing, and everything in-between. The Safety day was led by Mark Wilson, the S&TA for the dropzone with sectionalized support by several speakers. In-depth coverage was given following the USPA guidelines. The Judy H. Chelsea Safety Award was given to Tricia Small for all of her hard work with  bringing the student static line progression program into a more structured and focused program. WINTER CARNIVAL FUN!  As Duanesburg Skydiving has done for many years, and in partnership with Duffy's Tavern, we operated our skydiving operation in Lake George each weekend during the February Winter Carnival.  In a special event we were glad to help a young couple in love! At 5000 feet above Lake George we had the pleasure of helping Sam propose to Amber while riding to altitude for their tandem skydives. We had him turn around and get on his knees to show Amber a magic trick. It got very quiet and he just wispered it into her ear, tears started flowing and a quiet "Yes" and a kiss and hug ensued. The ring was a big chunk of amber. Then, it was time to hook up and jump! No matter your scheduled time to jump is we adjust loads keep the plane flying. We will make every effort to have you jump at your scheduled time, but many things are out of our control.
